San Diego, CA (June 10, 2020) - In recent days, Major League Rugby and San Diego Legion have made exciting announcements. From welcoming two new franchises to planning its first-ever MLR Collegiate Draft, MLR is setting up the league's 13 clubs and rugby in North America with a vibrant path ahead.
Here's a recap of the recent news...
- Last week, MLR introduced its two newest teams - Dallas, TX and Los Angeles, CA - bringing the franchise total to 13.
- San Diego Legion announced that Scott Murray and Zack Test will be leading the charge as co-Head Coaches.
Also, this weekend MLR will be hosting its inaugural MLR Collegiate Draft on Saturday, June 13, 2020 starting at 7pm ET. The event will be live streamed on Major League Rugby’s Facebook page and FTF Network. More than 400 players applied to join this weekend’s draft—among the crowd are 6 players who listed San Diego as their current location.
