San Diego Legion has partnered with Legacy Laces to give deserving young athletes a chance to play sports by collecting new and/or gently used cleats. With the support of San Diego Legion and other community donors, Legacy Laces has delivered hundreds of pairs of quality cleats to kids in need throughout San Diego County. As a result, hundreds of youth are now better equipped to play, or stay, in a sport they love and benefit from all the positive aspects athletics has to offer.
Fans are encouraged to donate cleats at any Legion home game by dropping them off in the Legacy Laces donation station at the stadium. For the 2020 season, two games will feature a chance for donors to be entered to win a Legion-autographed ball. The first drawing will take place at the 2020 Legion home opener on Sunday, February 9, where the winner will be announced in-game.
With donation stations available at every home game, Legion fans will now have a chance to be an ongoing part of this important mission.
