SAN DIEGO LEGION AND SAN DIEGO BLOOD BANK PARTNER TO GIFT BLOOD DONORS IN MARCH

SAN DIEGO (March 1, 2019)–The San Diego Blood Bank and the San Diego Legion Major League Rugby Club are teaming up to give blood donors an opportunity to experience San Diego’s new rugby team in action. Starting on March 6 and while supplies last, anyone who donates blood at any San Diego Blood Bank donor center will receive a voucher which can be redeemed for a complimentary pair of tickets to the Legion’s “Give Blood, Get Rugby” home game at Torero Stadium at on April 7.

“We are proud to partner with the San Diego Legion and to offer this opportunity to our blood donors,” said David Wellis, San Diego Blood Bank CEO. “We will continue to partner with the Legion throughout the year to bring more opportunities to our community.”

To be eligible to donate blood you must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 114 pounds and be in general good health. Eligible blood donors are encouraged to schedule an appointment to give by visiting SanDiegoBloodBank.org/Donate or by calling 1-800-4-MY-SDBB (1-800-469-7322).
