With just a few months until the start of Major League Rugby 2021 season, the San Diego Legion continues to solidify its roster. Join us in welcoming back two familiar names, Josh Furno and Faka’osi Pifeleti. Both players are aggressive and hungry for the season to begin.
Josh Furno returns to the sunny beaches of San Diego. One of the most experienced players to step foot on Torero Stadium, the 37 capped, Italian lock will be back next year. He is an utter powerhouse in the lineout and during open field play. Josh joined the SD Legion squad late in the 2019 season, yet he put on a memorable performance that had fans wishing for his return in 2020. Josh is a hard-hitting machine that will continue being a valuable asset in 2021.
Faka’osi Pifeleti will be back as loosehead prop. He is a threatening player that uses his dominance and power to repeatedly push the SD Legion pack over the line. 2021 will be Faka’osi’s third season with SD Legion, playing a major role in both the 2019 and 2020 seasons. SD Legion coaches expect him to live up to his reputation of bullying the opposition into submission.
