James Hilterbrand

James joins us out of the Manly side in the New South Wales Shute Shield competition. James is an Australian-born United States Eagle International. Representing USA on 24 occasions and both the Western Force and Waratahs in the Super rugby competition, James brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the San Diego Legion. 

With Matt Moulds suffering a neck injury mid season, we needed to find an adequate back up. We found this in James a little while back but we've been trying to make the puzzle fit. Between Manly and ourselves but also logistically we have finally made it work. 

James will add a huge amount around our set piece but also his uncompromising open play. He's a tough rugby player who will not take any backward steps and will front through thick and thin. Someone of his caliber is needed at this time of the year so we are very happy with his late arrival.
